This property is located in North Queensland. It comprises an
irregular shaped parcel of mainly near level land containing 44.6ha,
this falls away in the northern section to a lower tier, which
is subject to saltwater inundation. The land is almost completely
free of vegetation with only small areas of mangroves. There are
currently 17 operational ponds equating to a total ponded area
of 16.70 hectares. Other farm infrastructure includes inlet and
outlet channels, a 1.3 hectare reservoir pond, a 1.5 hectare water
treatment lagoon, two water pumping stations and two backup generators.
Structural improvements include a processing shed incorporating
a retail outlet and office, prawn hatchery, two worksheds and
a manager's residence. The farm has been in operation for a number
of years, with the most recent additions being about 10 hectares
constructed in 1999-2000. The property has an improving production
history with an established profitability record. It has the relevant
licences, permits and approvals, including an 'Aquaculture Licence'
issued from the Department of Primary Industries, an 'EPA Discharge
Permit' and a 'Section 86 Permit' issued by the Environmental
Protection Authority and a 'Certificate of Registration' issued
